How virtual therapy works

Virtual therapy is a live video session with your therapist. You join from a private, comfortable space of your choosing, anywhere in New Jersey. The work is the same as in-person therapy, and you can use the same approaches, including EMDR and Brainspotting.

Sessions are held over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You need a private space, a reliable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera.

Who it suits

Virtual therapy can suit a busy schedule, limited transportation, a health reason to stay home, or simply a preference to meet from a space where you feel settled. Some people combine virtual and in-person sessions.

Virtual therapy may not fit every situation. In a crisis, or when a higher level of care is needed, in-person or specialized support is safer. Your therapist will talk with you about what fits.

Lindsey offers both in-person therapy in Tinton Falls and virtual sessions across New Jersey. You can read about working together on the individual therapy page.
